Hiding from the Family, and their wishes « Thread Started on Jul 30, 2008, 3:04pm »
'Why the hell do they have t go and say something like that.' Rika thought as she angrily kicked a rock down the path she was walking on. 'Sure It's my duty to produce heirs for my clan but...' she shook her head. "There is no way I'm getting married." She grumbled under her breath.
She was only nineteen and a ninja. She barely had enough time to take care of her little brother, much less making a baby, or planning a wedding or anything. 'No, it's just not going to happen. The elders can't force me into anything can they?' She thought to herself sighing. 'Well the clan can refuse to let me marry a certain person, why wouldn't they be able to force me into it?'
"God Dammit this can't be happening." She yelled angrily as it started to rain. Why did everything always have to go wrong in her life. There was no way she could deal with this right now. There was no way she could take care of a kid. She could barely take care of her brother and he's only five years younger than her.

Nao felt lost. The road that he was taking seemed to be the correct one but subtle things made him doubt his decision. He felt hot and his vision would lose and regain focus after periods of time, Nao was obviously sick. His pale skin made him look like a ghost and as rain started to pour, Nao appeared to be glowing. The cool rain put his mind at ease and his vision was now perfect. Nao didn't have an umbrella but it did not matter. He loved the rain and water was his chakra nature so the more the merrier.
The road was finally ending and it lead to a large field where tall mountains could be seen in the distance. Nao saw another road and on it, a woman was walking. Nao could not see her clearly but he could hear her muttering to herself. "Would this person be a threat?" Nao spoke his thoughts aloud, his hand already reaching for his katana. Moving quickly, Nao sprinted towards the woman. 'If not, perhaps I could ask for directions... Or at least get a spar out of this misunderstanding.'

"I'm really not in the mood right..." She said trailing off as she looked at the boy, who was still quite a far distance away. She changed her human body so that it wouldn't be recognized as her, if it were one in the family. She had very good hearing but not very good eyesight so she still couldn't tell. She was about three inches shorter than her human form, and had raven hair that reached past her lower back. Her yellowish eyes stayed the same, however. She was never any good with changing her eye-color unless she could see it.
When she saw the boy, she tilted her head to the side in confusion, as a confused dog would. 'Why would a person in this town try to attack me, surely he must be from a different village or he'd know better,' She though locking her fingers in a claw-like positions so that her finger blades would be useful. "What do you want?" She asked looking the boy over. She was no medic but this kid looked bad.
She laughed lightly as her wolf instincts marked him as a possible threat. Sure he looked like he was about to attack her, but in his condition he'd be no match for her. She sighed, moving out of her formerly defensive position. She wasn't in the mood for a fight, at least not for a pointless one. She wanted something she could release her anger on, not a match that would be over in seconds. Or at least that's what the currently raven-haired girl assumed.
